When I was about 7-8 years old, I was terrified of water. I never wanted to go anywhere near the sea. This was probably caused by the swimming lessons I took when I was about 5 years old. The teacher wanted me and my sister to develop good swimming skills. We were constantly being trown to the water. Nontheless my sister learned to swim quite well but I developed a phobia.
Years after years I couldn’t get over my fear. One day I thought by myself that; “Either I’m going to overcome my fear or vice versa…”
Thats the time I started scuba diving. When I saw underwater closely, not only I overcome my fear of depths, I fell in love with the water. The feeling of flying in water was my drive all the way under water.
From beginning of the summer of 2012, by the time of summer 2013, me and my friends conducted more than 30 dives underwater. I got my PADI Openwater Diver certificate and was looking to get the PADI Advanced Openwater Diver certificate. Inorder to do that, we needed several more dives. One of the dives we conducted was in Antalya / Fethiye.

Fethiye / Antalya was a heaven for divers with multiple reefs, coves, and shipwrecks.

A Coastguard boat was intentially sunked to boost diving tourism by the government.

One of the best feeling while diving in the coastal areas is to dive with pieces of bread inorder to attract schools of fishes to your location.

There is a cove located in Fethiye called “Turkish Hamam”. The location inaccessable from land and only accessable by underwater. Its entrance is approximately 25m underwater.

Once the entrance is breached the open air pool can be accessed and half of the pool is above water.
